Just recently Jon sent me some of his transparencies to scan that he took while working on Alien, these are absolutely the best quality images I've seen taken on the set of the model shoot (full resolution scans average 6000x4000 pixels). They were taken on 35mm transparency film and log pretty much all the main stages of the model filming at Bray Studios. With his permission here are some of the gems that he's delivered. Nostromo landing jets being tested - at first we used Freon Gas, this looked fantastic, then after we found that it could have been damaging to our health ( it's a powerful de greaser and refrigerant ) - we switched to Carbon Dioxide.
